What MAMOK IS ???
Student Union of Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences (MAMOK) was founded 8th of may 1997 by the students clubs of that time. MAMOK works not only as a service organization for its members, but also as an ideological controlling body, which observes the welfare of the students. The student union represents the students in multiple organs of Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences, from individual workgroups to concern meetings.
MAMOK has multiple ways to influent through, for example literal and oral contentions, presentations and comments. Through these actions our goal is to further improve the practises and working models as well as to improve the studying environment to better match the expectations of the students.
MAMOK is a member of SAMOK ry (Union of Students in Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences) . If you make the decision to join our student union you will also be automatically listed as a member of SAMOK.
A student of our University of Applied Sciences, having delivered the membership payment will receive a membership card, which will give the member multiple advantages and services with the cooperative organizations and firms of our student union. However, foreign students cannot receive the membership card unless their period of education is longer than 8 months.
